At Tekube as our own “payoff” says, we build tailor-made semi-finished products, engineering and industrializing them on the needs and desired of each individual customer.
We are well aware of the responsibility we take on, and it is a source of great appreciation for the trust that our customers place in us every day.
On the other hand, electronics is increasingly pervasive in every industry, consequently the technological growth of components has meant that quality semi-finished products are also increasingly in demand, and at the same time it is increasingly difficult to find suppliers who are up to the task.
As we have been experiencing the semi-finished products market for years, we are becoming increasingly aware of how some supply chains are very dependent on China.
That is why from the very beginning in Tekube we decided to support a wide range of manufacturing partners based in different strategic areas of the world:
- Far East, not just China – (Vietnam, India, Malaysia)
- Europe – (Slovenia, Croatia, Romania)
- Italy (Yes we have partners in our territory as well)
The geographical breakdown of risk is well considered in our industrial strategies, because today the global crisis is virus-related, tomorrow conflicts or financial crises could happen: it is difficult to make predictions.
What is certain is that the leading role of the Chinese economy in the electronics market, both in components and assembly, is undeniable and destined to be consolidated.
One of the reasons for this is that most of the raw materials used to build our beloved semi-finished products (Printed Circuits, Keyboards , etc.) are extracted and processed almost exclusively in the Asian subcontinent, particularly in China. Labor costs, no matter how relentlessly robotization proceeds, remain very competitive throughout Asia: we are even seeing phenomena of relocation of production facilities, within the same states, to seek cheaper labor: this is what is happening from Guangdong to central China.
Not to be overlooked is the fact that, in terms of technology, where in Italy, we are now beginning to talk about digital, in China and Hong Kong in particular, highly automatedIndustry 4.0, with higher performance standards, has already existed for years.
The world of international component distribution, while exploiting some stock reserves, has for years been confronted with the scarcity of semiconductors and components coming from the dragon nation.
Certainly having European and Italian partners have enabled us to ensure the speed and quality of our supplies, and they will only complement Asian quality and convenience in the medium and long term.
Quality guaranteed among other things by our UL codes, by our ISO 9001 certification, by our supply specifications and finally by our quality checkers, ubiquitous, on site.
In summary, Tekube believes that any wise sourcing strategy should also target Asian productions:
- For the high technical and quality standards
- For convenience, in fact the already high prices in the local market have skyrocketed and are certainly not sustainable in the long run, especially considering the unpredictable market developments;
- Because Chinese manufacturers have already returned, especially for PCBs under our jurisdiction, to 90 percent of their production capacity and are quickly disposing of accumulated production queues;
- Because at Tekube, we have selected manufacturers with plants throughout Asia for you and are continually monitoring the market for new and more competitive offerings.
Even in this difficult environment, using all the tools that technology makes available to us and taking advantage of the established network of subcontractors, we have been able to guarantee the start-up of productions and do our utmost to always be by your side, handling any delays and critical issues.
We are convinced that we have performed a good job and will continue to do so.
As already suggested, the best way to cope with changing market conditions is through constant collaboration between supplier and customer, planning together a buffer stock sufficient to cope with possible future difficult situations in realizing the Just In Time model.
Adaptability as a competitive advantage for our clients: always available for an innovate by your side.
Cordially,
The Tekube Team
